Praises/Prayer Requests

RECENT PRAISES

  • Thanks to your outpouring of consistent love, we are at 100% of our monthly support level!
  • While delayed for a few days due to weather and a crazy flat tire incident, our Valentines Day/my birthday/our half-anniversary trip to Tahoe was a wonderful time with lots of snow and fun explorations in February. It is truly a blessing to have these trips together.
  • God continued to work in wonderful ways through our “off-season”. We saw salvations, decisions made, and projects completed!
  • I was able to have wrist surgery this March for pain I have had for over two years. I was able to finally get answers and am recovering well.

PRAYER REQUESTS (Updated this May!)

  • General prayer requests:
    • Our summer season is almost here! Please pray for us as we serve this summer.
    • Last summer I injured my shoulder in an accident and have had daily pain since. The reason for the constant pain is still a mystery to my physical therapists and specialists. My next steps are seeing a neurologist, getting an EMG done, and trying acupuncture. Please pray for answers, pain relief, and recovery.
  • Financial prayer requests:
    • Jeep. We had to take our Jeep into the shop for a loud, whirring noise underneath, which was diagnosed as our rear differential. If it needs to be completely replaced, the estimated cost is $3,800.
    • Yard Work. We hope to add irrigation and a fence around our backyard for future pets and future children! This project will most likely cost around $1,000 for just supplies and something we hope to work on through this next year.
    • House renovation. If the Lord wills, our house renovation will be happening this upcoming spring! A fundraising letter to help raise the $60,000 necessary for this project has just gone out to our camp’s mailing list.

ANSWERED PRAYERS (October 2025-May 2026)

  • God continued to work in wonderful ways through our “off-season”. We saw salvations, decisions made, and had lots of work crews and projects completed!
  • JD was able to get multiple jobs done in the horse area this fall thanks to his assistant from our Life Institute program. He was also able to bring in four new horses and make important upgrades to our large arena and horse area. This will allow him to bring in more Horsemanship campers this summer!
  • I have settled in well to working here at camp and enjoy working in the Registration office and being on the promotions team.
  • We had a wonderful Christmas break. We were able to go to a few local events and also spend with both JD’s family and my family with smooth travels.

ANSWERED PRAYERS (June-September 2025)

  • Projects were accomplished in time for our campers to have a wonderful summer at Wolf Mountain.
  • We had a wonderful time of ministry this summer, and saw spiritual growth with campers and with our summer staff. We saw over 200 decisions made by our campers for Christ, including over 40 salvations!
  • The Lord took my Grandmother peacefully home into His arms June 20th. We were able to travel down to help with the memorial service, visit with family, and attend her funeral service in Reno despite the busyness of our summer schedule.
  • We were able to travel to Hollister and San Diego to visit our family over our end of summer break. Tickets were cheap and we had a great time with both of our families.
  • At camp, God provided us with three Life Institute guys over the summer who will be serving with us over this next year.
  • We have had an absolutely wonderful first year of marriage. We were able to celebrate it exploring and relaxing in South Lake Tahoe.

ANSWERED PRAYERS (January – May 2025)

  • Jared and I had the opportunity to travel to to San Diego in February to be counselors at Camp Julian Oaks for a winter camp. It was a wonderful experience, and we were so grateful to serve in that ministry!
  • JD upgraded the fences around camp, and will soon be welcoming four more horses to Wolf Mountain!
  • JD also finished his project of bringing electricity to the horse area, allowing for lights for evening horse activities.
  • My family was able to move my grandmother on my mother’s side to San Diego to be closer to family. My grandparent’s house in Sunnyvale sold within four days of being on the market, and is being used to support my grandmother during this time.
  • Being able to graduate from Liberty University was a huge answer to prayer, and I am so grateful for all the support given to me.
  • After prayerful consideration as to where I will fit in Resident Staff after graduating, I will begin working in our Registration Office this fall!

ANSWERED PRAYERS (August – December 2024)

  • We have been blessed with a wonderful home, marriage, and ministry.
  • Home provisions were abundantly provided through wedding gifts.
  • My grandfather on my father’s side passed away in September. I was able to fly out to Michigan to attend the funeral and connect with family. My other grandfather on my mother’s side passed away December 23. I was also able to attend that memorial service and burial and help support my family.
  • Enough support and help was raised to finish the horse shades in the pastures in time for this year’s winter.
  • We have a reliable vehicle through God’s provision of a Jeep.
  • Jared’s sister just had her first baby girl in December! We are so excited to be an aunt and uncle.
