Welcome!

Welcome!

Dear Family and Friends,

We are so excited to share who we are and the blessings that God has given us as we start our lives together as a married couple. Jared and I were married on August 24th of 2024. Since then, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, and love that has been poured into us. The support that you have shown us, whether through your prayers, monetary support, or wedding gifts, has been a tremendous blessing to us as we settle into our new lives together. Our prayer is that these letters will keep you informed and up to date with our family, our ministry, and the ways you can stay involved.

For those who are unfamiliar with our ministry, Wolf Mountain Camps is a year-round Christian camp and retreat center in Northern California that serves both children and adult groups. Operating in Grass Valley, California, we have 640 acres in which we can utilize for serving God, and brought in over 2,000 campers in 2024. Wolf Mountain is a home missions ministry, using the unique aspects of the camping ministry to reach young people for the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen families, and serve local churches. It is a place of decision in the areas of salvation, full surrender, and consistent Christian walk. We are thrilled to be a part of a ministry that places God at the center.

For those who are unfamiliar with us, Jared serves as Wolf Mountain’s Horsemanship Director. His different responsibilities include taking care of the horses and horse area year-round, raising financial support for the horse-area, and running the Horsemanship Program in the summer. JD feels strongly that his job is not just about horses, however. The activities and riding campers do while attending Horsemanship are structured around service times where they learn about God. JD wants to ensure that campers that come to his camps don’t just walk away with increased knowledge on horses, but also an increased knowledge on God so that their hearts can be changed for Him. Currently, he is working on plans to build more fortified fencing to improve the pastures for better and easier use within the ministry, as well as prep the horse area and camp facilities for the upcoming spring and summer. When horses are not being used, he also runs activities such as archery and blacksmithing.

As for myself, I am a full-time student at Liberty University Online. I am working on my AA in Psychology – Christian Counseling, and will graduate this May. I am specifically studying adolescent psychology, and hope to use this degree at camp and potentially within my community. With my free time, I am learning more about Wolf Mountain, trying new recipes that hopefully won’t give Jared and I food poisoning, and turning our house into a home. I am also currently praying about pursuing my bachelor’s degree. After I graduate, I plan to join Jared in full-time ministry at Wolf Mountain.

Jared and I live in our beautiful home surrounded by oak trees on top of the camp property. Many of the gifts given to us at our wedding are displayed and in use in our home. In our personal time, we enjoy exploring the area around us, going on hikes, trying new restaurants, and planning home projects, such as a backyard fence and a front yard pergola. So far, our only argument has been whether we will allow our future, hypothetical dog to sleep on the bed (I think I might be winning). It has been such a sweet time as we learn how to live together, serve together, and grow together as a married couple. We are excited for future prospects and the idea of serving God alongside one another for the rest of our lives.

Many have asked how you can support us financially. At Wolf Mountain, we are completely missionary supported, and currently have 50% of our monthly support raised. If you would like to support us online, you can click here, as well as meet the other staff we serve alongside. Other ways we can receive support is through our main office. Checks can be sent to:

Most importantly, however, we ask for support through your prayers. Prayer remains our greatest need and best way of support. Here are a few praises and prayer requests from our family so far.

Praises

  • We have been blessed with a wonderful home, marriage, and ministry.
  • Home provisions were abundantly provided through your wedding gifts.

Prayer Requests

  • Raising monetary support. We are looking to not only raise our personal support, but fund projects in the horse area as well! If you would like to read Jared’s Horsemanship support letter, click here!
  • We also are looking at the opportunity of a house expansion in the next year or two. We feel so blessed and are excitedly waiting to see how God will provide the support for the renovation.

For updated and more detailed praises, prayer requests, and answered prayers, you can check out our Praises/Prayer Requests page.

We hope to post more detailed letters about our family and ministry in the near future. If you would like to receive these letters via email or be notified when they are posted here, please let us know! In the meantime, you can check out our About page to hear more of Jared and I’s personal story, and our Gallery page for photos of us and our ministry. Thank you so much for the support and love you have poured into our lives (and for taking the time to read our – rather lengthy – first letter!). We hope you enjoy following us on our adventure.

In Christ,

Jared and Kacey Lenhert
